SMS Messaging Policy

Who we are
Planted Seed Christian Academy is an early-learning program located in Indiana that participates in the federal Head Start program. Bloom is the private childcare management software Planted Seed uses to communicate with enrolled families.
What SMS messages we send
Messages are transactional and go only to parents and authorized pickup persons associated with an enrolled or prospective child. There are two message types:
- Enrollment acceptance — after a family's application is reviewed and approved, the named parent receives a 6-character registration code and a link to download the Bloom mobile app so they can complete onboarding.
- Pickup PIN setup — when a parent adds a new authorized pickup person (e.g. a grandparent, aunt, or uncle), that person receives a one-time link so they can choose their own 4-digit PIN for the school's check-in kiosk.
We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party content by SMS. Estimated volume is fewer than one hundred messages per month across the entire school.
Sample message
Planted Seed: Hi Sarah, your child's enrollment application has been accepted. Download the Bloom app at https://bloom.plantedseed.app/onboard and enter your registration code A4F9B2 to finish setting up your family profile. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.
How we collect consent
Consent is collected in person at Planted Seed during the enrollment intake interview. Prospective parents complete a paper or digital application that requests their name, email, and mobile phone number. By submitting the application and providing their phone number, parents acknowledge that Planted Seed will use that number to send the transactional messages described above.
Authorized pickup persons (grandparents, relatives, and other trusted adults) are nominated by the parent during onboarding in the Bloom mobile app. The parent supplies the nominee's contact information. By entering a phone number for an authorized pickup person, the parent confirms that person has agreed to receive SMS from Planted Seed for this purpose.
Message frequency
Recipients typically receive between one and three messages during the enrollment and onboarding period. Additional messages may be sent only if an authorized pickup person is added to a family account later, or if the school resends a lost registration code on request.
Opt-out
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any Planted Seed text. Your phone number will be removed from future SMS sends. You can also email the school directly at office@plantedseed.app and ask to be removed.
Help
Reply HELP to any Planted Seed text, or email us at office@plantedseed.app.
Carrier disclosure
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Phone numbers collected for SMS are stored by Planted Seed and are not shared, sold, or disclosed to any third party other than the messaging provider (Twilio) used to deliver the message. Phone numbers are used only for the transactional purposes described on this page.
