Questions you probably have

The honest answers.

Is there a limit on how many students we can add?

No. Add as many students as you want — your price stays the same. Bloom is priced per school, not per child.

Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes — schools collect parent payments through their own Stripe account, not Bloom's. Onboarding is hosted by Stripe and takes about 10 minutes. Money settles directly to your bank, typically within 2 business days. Bloom routes the 1.5% platform fee at settlement; we never touch your money.

What about credit card fees?

Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per card (their standard rate; we don't mark it up). On top of that, Bloom takes 1.5% as the platform fee. Both are visible in your dashboard. ACH cuts the effective rate by roughly half — push parents to ACH for tuition.

How is voucher / CCDF billing handled?

Voucher families generate co-pay-only invoices (the family's share of tuition), and Bloom tracks the state's expected reimbursement separately. State ACH deposits don't flow through Bloom — they go straight to your bank — but we give you a reconciliation view that matches what the state paid against what was due.

Are there long-term contracts?

No. Renew yearly. If Bloom isn't working for you, take your data and go — we'll help you export. No handcuffs, no cancellation fees.

Is this system secure?

Yes. Bloom runs on private cloud infrastructure, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and every action is audit-logged. Family-level privacy controls let you decide who sees what, down to individual photos.

Can parents use Bloom too?

Yes — every enrolled family gets a free Parent Hub account. Photos, notes, attendance, private messaging with teachers. Included in the $1,999. Family Archive ($49/yr) is an optional add-on parents subscribe to themselves.

What's a "module" vs. what's in Core?

Core is everything you need to run the school day — attendance, daily logs, photos, messaging, billing, voucher tracking. Modules are optional add-ons: AI-drafted reports, longer photo retention for parents, a compliance binder generator. You can run Bloom forever on Core alone.

Who built Bloom?

A small team that's spent years inside classrooms, director offices, and family homes. We built Bloom because nothing on the market felt like it respected the work.

How long does setup take?

Most schools are live the same afternoon. Import your roster from a spreadsheet, set your rooms, invite your teachers. We'll be on a call with you the whole time.

What happens after the Founding Partner cohort?

Pricing stays at $1,999/year for everyone. Founding Partners keep their locked-in rate and priority support — a thank-you that doesn't expire.
